Yegor Filipenko announced retirement from the national team
The defender recoreded 51 cpas for the «white wings».
The 31-year old player from Minsk made his debut for the countries main football team on September 12th 2007. During the qualification for the UEFA European Championship 2008 he came on from the bench for Gennadi Blizniuk and spent 16 minutes at the «Zdezele» stadium in Celje. The Belarusian side lost to Slovenia 0:1 that night.
Consequently Filipenko recorded over 50 matches for the national team and scored one goal. Yegor scored in 2013 when his header went pas Hugo Lloris in the collision of the «white wings» and France national team in Gomel (2:4).
Apart from the main team the defender took part in 21 fixtures for Belarus U21 team and won bronze medals at the UEFA U-21 European Championship in 2011.

I will always have warm feelings when I think about the time spent in the national team. I truely hope that the players that will replace me in the future will achieve bright vicories and will bring positive emotions to the football fans».
